A use case does/should not need be technical, in fact for a buyer/reader, it is better to share with less technical wording and buzzwords, and demonstrate clearly and in simple way as a short story on the value of your solution.
Remember your customer/decision maker, may not have the technical understanding, experience with technical terminology and or have the acronym knowledge you do.
Good use cases are best read as a short story broken down into a simple clear format.
A value proposition is a statement that answers the 'why' someone should do business with you. It should convince a potential customer why your service or product will be of more value to them than similar offerings from your competition. ... So, having a clear, concise value proposition is more important than ever.

Tell the short story of the customer problem and business impact, include any business statistics like cost impacts, production impacts, loss of actionable data, process challenges and competition challenges.
This is the point that we quite sometimes fall into describing at a deeper technical level than we need to, its often better if you position the solution in simple and high level terms, making it look easy and comforting to adopt your solution, demonstrate you know the problem and can solve it with confidence.
A Clear demonstration with facts on how your solution positively impacts the problem impacts you earlier described with cost savings, time gained, productivity and more. But remember the RoI is not always about the money, it is demonstrating and resonating with the buyer that you understand the value of your solution to them and their problems. IoT gives the opportunity of innovative new business models, that the customer may not be aware of, enabling them to get a step ahead of their competition.
